He is the son of Grazia “Grace” and Giuseppe “Joe” Ricciardo. His father was born in Ficarra, Province of Messina, Sicily, and moved to Australia at age seven. His mother was born in Australia, to Italian parents, from Casignana, Reggio Calabria.
